Storyline:

     Her name is Wang Hua, and she is a house church preacher in Southern China. Is Eastern Lightning the Return of the Lord Jesus?

We all know that the Lord Jesus had promised His disciples before He left: Surely I come quickly. Over thousands of years, countless Christians have held on to the promise of the Lord and expected His return all their life. They felt pity that they did not meet the return of the Lord Jesus before death. Many people are puzzled: The prophecy of the return of the Lord Jesus has already been fulfilled, but why is it that we haven’t seen the appearance of the Lord yet? In fact, the Lord Jesus has already returned to flesh as the Son of man and done the work in secret among people for many years. Christ of the last days—Almighty God is the return of the Lord Jesus!
     When the disciples asked about the signs of His return on the Mount of Olives, the Lord Jesus prophesied from His own mouth, “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Mat 24:27) And He also prophesied, “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.” (Luke 17:24-25) Both of these scriptures mention “the Son of man,” who is born of man and has the normal humanity. The Spirit cannot be called as “the Son of man,” and only God incarnate can be called so. This is sufficient to prove that when the Lord returns in the last days, He will still become flesh. The prophecy says “But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.” So the Son of man will suffer many things and be rejected; it also refers to God’s return to flesh. If God returned as the Spirit, would He suffer so much and be rejected by men?


     During about 20 years, the Church of Almighty God has been testifying that Eastern Lightning is Christ of the last days, Almighty God who becomes flesh, and the return of the Lord Jesus, and that millions of words of truth Almighty God expresses is the light to save man. However, the elders and pastors of the whole religious world not only didn’t seek or investigate it, but instead frenziedly judged, condemned, resisted, and blasphemed the Eastern Lightning. They even colluded with the atheistic CCP government to deceive common people and instigate them to oppose and resist the Eastern Lightning. Even so, they still failed to stop the steps of God’s work. The clever virgins, who believe in Godsincerely and can recognize the voice of God, return before Almighty God’s throne from all sects and denominations one after another. The scene of joy “All peoples will surely stream to this mountain” has appeared. Under Almighty God’s personal leading, God’s chosen people have broken through the suppression of the forces of darkness, and they keep practicing the truth and never lose the testimony. Almighty God has already made a group of overcomers in Mainland China. Today, the gospel of Almighty God has spread from China, the East, to all other countries in the world, without dramatic effect. These ironclad facts are the complete fulfillments of the prophecies concerning the return of the Lord. Like what Jesus suffered in His first incarnation, Almighty God, Eastern Lightning and Christ of the last days, also suffers the rejection from the world today. But He has still accomplished the work what He wants to do, not restricted by anything.
     Almighty God says, “Only when the light of the East gradually turns white will the darkness across the earth begin to turn to light, and only then will men find that I have long ago gone from Israel and am rising anew in the East. I cannot still be ‘born’ in Israel after I have ‘descended’ to Israel and then left from Israel, for My work leads all of the universe and the lightning flashes from the East to the West. This is the reason I have descended in the East and brought Canaan to the people of the East. …I gave My glory to Israel then moved it away from there, bringing the Israelites to the East, and bringing all men to the East. I have led them all to the ‘light’ so that they may be reunited and have association with it, and no longer have to search for it. I will let all who are in search see the light again and see the glory I had in Israel; I will let them see that I have long ago come down upon a white cloud among men, and see the countless clouds of white and clusters of fruit, and moreover, Jehovah God of Israel. I will let them see the ‘Master’ of the Jews, the longed-for Messiah, and the full appearance of Me who have been persecuted by kings throughout the ages. I will do the work of the entire universe and perform great works, revealing all My glory and all My deeds to man in the last days. I shall show My full countenance of glory to those who have awaited Me for many years, to those who have longed for Me to come upon a white cloud, to Israel that has longed for Me to once again appear, and to all mankind who persecute Me, so that all will know that I have long ago taken away My glory and brought it to the East. It is not in Judea, for the last days have already come!” (from The Word Appears in the Flesh) All these facts fully prove that Eastern Lightning is the return of the Lord Jesus in the last days and God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.

The Origin of the Eastern Lightning’s Prosperity

Each and every time the Eastern Lightning is mentioned, many brothers and sisters in the Lord feel perplexed: Why is it that as the religious community as a whole becomes increasingly desolate and degenerate, as each denomination becomes increasingly guarded and conservative in condemning and banishing the Eastern Lightning, not only is the Eastern Lightning not becoming desolate and ebbing, but surging like unstoppable billows, sweeping across mainland China? Now that it has even expanded beyond China’s borders to foreign countries and regions, as it is being accepted by more and more people worldwide? Many people believe that anything condemned by most people can’t be the true way, but does this viewpoint accord with the truth? Think back to the Age of Grace when God came in the flesh to begin His new work in Judea. From start to finish He was persecuted, blasphemed, and condemned by the Jewish religious community. They did everything they could to put the Lord Jesus to death. In the end, they colluded with Rome to have the Lord Jesus captured and they nailed the merciful Lord Jesus to the cross. Even upon the resurrection and ascension to heaven of the Lord Jesus, they still fabricated all sorts of rumors and framed and slandered against John, Paul, and the other apostles and disciples, calling them “the Sect of the Nazarenes” and “heretics and cultists.” The Jewish religious community did everything possible to hunt down and persecute the disciples of the Lord Jesus. But God’s wisdom always exploits and builds upon the tricks of Satan; how could His work be obstructed or destroyed by Satan? It is because of the Roman Empire’s wanton persecution and expulsion that the disciples were compelled to flee to various countries and so too did the salvation of the Lord Jesus spread far and wide and to the ends of the earth. Brothers and sisters let us consider: Why did so many people resist the Lord Jesus and oppose His way back then? Could it be because the Lord Jesus wasn’t bringing the true way? Could it be because what the disciples and apostles of the Lord Jesus of that time were spreading wasn’t God’s salvation? Could it be that what the people abandoned and resisted wasn’t God’s way? Surely we can’t weigh the true way based on how many people endorse it? Do not consider something as the false way because the majority of people oppose it. As long as it is God’s work, even if the entire world opposes it and forsakes it, the true way brought by God cannot be denied; there are no exceptions. If we believe in God and have followed Him for many years yet do not understand God’s work, it is easy for us to be deceived and bound by the various specious fallacies and rumors spread around by Satan. To turn from a believer into a follower of Satan, to serve God but also resist Him, doesn’t this just bring grief and sorrow to a person? Many people do not study the true way with a humble and searching heart, they just follow the herd and do what everyone else does. No matter how other people judge or attack God and His work, they merely parrot those same words and follow blindly. This is a very dangerous thing. If they persist in this way they will ultimately find themselves on a path of no return. Long ago, when the disciples of the Lord Jesus preached the gospel at the temple and were met with opposition from the masses, a man called Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, admonished the Jewish people, “And now I say to you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nothing: But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it; lest haply you be found even to fight against God” (Act 5:38-39). Shouldn’t this also serve as a warning to today’s believers? Now, in these last days, God has once again become flesh in China—a nation where atheists and revolutionaries wield power and the very nest of the great red dragon—to begin His judgment work that begins from His house. God issues forth truths to judge and cleanse mankind, the purpose being to save man completely from the dark influence of Satan. In the end, they will be brought into His kingdom by God and gain a beautiful destination. However, the historical tragedy of Jewish resistance to the Lord Jesus has once again appeared on the stage. As God does His new work of the last days that strikes back against the notions of people from the various religious sects, these people do not welcome the return of the Lord Jesus. Instead, they spread all manner of twisted teachings and fallacious rumors. They slander God incarnate and His work, condemning the work of God incarnate of the last days as an “evil cult” or “heresy.” They even go so far as to collude with the Chinese Communist government to persecute and arrest God incarnate. Their deeds are no different than those of the Jewish religious community that once framed and persecuted the Lord Jesus. Nonetheless, the true way is, after all, the true way. God’s work, after all, is God’s work. Regardless of how the various religious sects resist and condemn God’s work of the last days, the good tidings of His kingdom have nonetheless spread throughout mainland China, shaking the religious community and the entire world to the very core.

Cheng Huize is a co-worker at a house church in China. She has believed in the Lord for many years, and has worked for the Lord with unwavering enthusiasm. They set an example by reporting and arresting the brothers and sisters preaching the kingdom gospel. Cheng Huize and others saw that the pastor and the elders had deviated from the Lord's way a long time ago, and the church had already lost the work of the Holy Spirit and had degenerated into a religious place like Babylon the Great, cursed and reviled by the Lord. Because of this, they decided to investigate the Eastern Lightning to search for the manifestation and work of God. After intense debates with the preachers from the Church of Almighty God, Cheng Huize and the others finally began to see clearly that the leaders of the religious world opposed God in substance, and the reason why the religious world declined, day by day drawing nearer to its destruction: The pastors and elders of the religious world, although they could explain the Bible and hold the Bible in high esteem, they only do so for status and livelihood. The Origin and Development of the Church of Almighty God

In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus promised to His followers, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:3). He also prophesied, “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27). In the last days, as promised and foretold by Himself, God has again become flesh and descended to the East of the world—China—to do the work of judgment, chastisement, conquest, and salvation using the word, on the foundation of the redemption work of the Lord Jesus. In this, the prophecies of the Bible that “Judgment begins with the house of God” and “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches!” have also been fulfilled. God’s work of the last days has ended the Age of Grace and ushered in the Age of Kingdom. As the gospel of the kingdom of Almighty God spread rapidly in Mainland China, the Church of Almighty God came into being. As proven by facts, the Church of Almighty God came into being entirely as a result of God’s work of the last days, and was not established by any man. Because of the appearance and utterances of Christ of the last days, ever more people who thirst for and seek the truth have been conquered and purified by the word of Almighty God, and have seen in God’s judgment and chastisement the appearance of God and the return of the Redeemer.
