Perhaps our brothers and sisters have a bit of an outline of the sequence, the steps, and the methods of God’s work in mainland China, but I always feel it’s better to have a recollection or a little summary for our brothers and sisters. I’m just using this opportunity to say a bit of what’s on My heart; I’m not talking about anything outside of this work. I hope that the brothers and sisters can understand My mood, and I also humbly request that all those who read My words understand and forgive My small stature, that My life experience is truly inadequate, and that I truly cannot keep My head high in front of God.

The brothers and sisters who are familiar with the Bible all know that the prophecies in the Bible concerning the Lord Jesus’ second coming can be roughly divided into two categories: the first category says that the Lord will come in secret like a thief (cf. Revelation 3:3; 16:15), and the second says that the Lord will appear publicly and every eye will see Him (cf. Revelation 1:7; Matthew 24:30). Literally, these two categories of prophecies seem to contradict each other: Since it is said that the Lord will come like a thief, it means that people will not know it when He comes; but why is it also said that every eye will see Him? Actually they are not contradictory at all, because they will not be fulfilled at the same time—one category of prophecies will be fulfilled first and then the other. That is to say, God will first come in secret and then appear publicly.

(3) - Go Beyond the Bible: Attend the Feast of the Kingdom of Heaven With the Lord

Many people who have faith in the Lord feel that God's words and work are all in the Bible, that God's salvation as described in the Bible is already full, that faith in God must be based on the Bible and that if our faith in God is based on the Bible, then we will surely be raptured into the kingdom of heaven. These religious conceptions act as invisible ropes that firmly bind and constrict our thoughts such that we do not seek out the work of the Holy Spirit and make us unable to submit to the present work of God. How then do we understand the connection between the Bible and God and the Bible and God's work? The Lord Jesus said, "Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And you will not come to me, that you might have life" (John 5:39-40). Almighty God says, "Christ of the last days brings life, and brings the enduring and everlasting way of truth. This truth is the path through which man shall gain life, and the only path by which man shall know God and be approved by God" (The Word Appears in the Flesh). It is only through leaving the Bible that we are able to come before God and accept His salvation and attend the feast of the kingdom of heaven with Him.

In the past, I used to always think that God’s words “a puppet and traitor who flees from the great white throne” were referring to those who accept God’s work in the last days but who then retreat; to me, they were all people who weren’t willing to endure the pain of being judged and chastised. Therefore, whenever I saw brothers and sisters retreat for whatever reason, my heart would be filled with contempt toward them, thinking: “There goes another puppet and traitor fleeing from the great white throne who shall receive God’s punishment!” Each time this happened, I felt I was behaving properly in accepting God’s judgment and was not far from receiving God’s salvation.
