What’s Most Important in Life? A King’s Last Words Provide Food for Thought

By Mo Yan
I happened to stumble on a story from history while on my phone one day—it was really inspiring for me, so I wanted to share it with others. The story goes like this: Alexander the Great was one of the most successful military commanders in history. He became very ill on his return journey from his victorious military campaign, and just as he was about to die, he shared his three last wishes with his generals. First, he wanted his physicians to carry his coffin back, and he wanted the road to the cemetery where his coffin was to be taken to be strewn with gold, silver, and precious stones. Lastly, he wanted both of his hands to be placed so they were outside of the coffin. Alexander explained that by doing so, he wished to impart three lessons upon the living. First, no matter how great a physician’s skill, they cannot save people’s lives; they cannot determine a person’s life and death. Second, it isn’t worth it to spend an entire life in the pursuit of wealth; it’s a waste of precious time. And finally, each one of us comes into this world empty-handed, and we will leave empty-handed. We can’t take a single thing with us.

Movie Clip "Stay Out of My Business" (5) - Exposing the Truth of the Pharisees' Resistance to God

gospel movie Clip "Stay Out of My Business" (5) - Exposing the Truth of the Pharisees' Resistance to God

When Lord Jesus appeared and did work, the Jewish priests, scribes, and Pharisees wildly slandered, condemned, and blasphemed Lord Jesus. They nailed Lord Jesus to the cross, and obstructed people from accepting Lord Jesus. During the last days, God has become incarnate again. He has become manifest and is doing work. Pastors and elders of religious circles again wildly resist and condemn God's work of the last days, blocking believers by hook or by crook from accepting Almighty God. Why did God's two incarnations, when He became manifest and did work, meet with resistance and condemnation from religious leaders? What is the source and true nature of the religious leaders' resistance?

"Stay Out of My Business" (4) - The Pharisees Who Nailed the Lord to the Cross Have Reappeared!

gospel movie"Stay Out of My Business" (4) - The Pharisees Who Nailed the Lord to the Cross Have Reappeared!

Two thousand years ago, when Lord Jesus worked, the Pharisees condemned the work of Lord Jesus in the name of upholding Scripture. They even judged Lord Jesus as the son of a carpenter, and did their utmost to prevent believers from following Lord Jesus. Ultimately they crucified Lord Jesus. During the last days, Lord Jesus has returned to work and speak. Pastors and elders of religious circles similarly use the Bible to condemn God's work, and similarly condemn God as an ordinary person. They do their utmost to disrupt believers' acceptance of the true way. Incredibly, history repeats itself.

Gospel Movie clip (2) - Is Accepting the Gospel of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Apostasy?

Gospel Movie clip (2) - Is Accepting the Gospel of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Apostasy?

In the Bible, Paul said, "I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ to another gospel" (Galatians 1:6). The pastors and elders misinterpret these words of Paul, and condemn all people who accept the gospel of the second coming of Lord Jesus, saying that this would be apostasy and that it would be betraying the Lord. Some believers therefore miss the chance to welcome the Lord, because they have been deceived. It is evident that getting a clear understanding of the true meaning of this text is extremely important to our welcoming the return of the Lord. So what is the true meaning of this passage of Scripture? Is accepting the gospel of the second coming of Lord Jesus apostasy?

Movie Clip (1) - How Do We Treat Eastern Lightning in a Way That Accords With the Lord's Will?

gospel movie Clip (1) - How Do We Treat Eastern Lightning in a Way That Accords With the Lord's Will?

When people testify that Eastern Lightning is the return of Lord Jesus, many believers feel that Eastern Lightning is the true way, and that they should proactively seek and investigate it to hear the Lord's voice. Pastors and elders of religion, however, misinterpret the Bible to resist and condemn Eastern Lightning. Under the banner of "protecting the way of the Lord, keeping the flock safe, and being responsible for the lives of believers," they prevent believers in every means from investigating the true way. Is Eastern Lightning really the return of the Lord, becoming manifest and doing work? How should we treat Eastern Lightning, so that we accord with the Lord's will?

Gospel Movie Clip "The Moment of Change" (2) - The Only Path to Be Raised Into the Kingdom of Heaven

Gospel Movie Clip "The Moment of Change" (2) - The Only Path to Be Raised Into the Kingdom of Heaven

Some people believe, since God was able to create the heavens and earth and all things with one word, able to raise the dead with one word, God will also be able to transform our images instantly, make us holy, lift us into the air to meet with the Lord when He returns in the last days. Is it really so to be raised into the kingdom of heaven? Is the work of God's return in the last days as simple as we imagine? Almighty God says, "You must realize it, and should not oversimplify matters. The work of God is unlike any ordinary work. Its marvel cannot be conceived by the mind of man, and its wisdom cannot be attained by such. God is not creating all things, and He is not destroying them.

Gospel Movie Clip "The Moment of Change" (1) - How Are Wise Virgins

Gospel Movie Clip "The Moment of Change" (1) - How Are Wise Virgins
Some people go by Paul's word on the matter of waiting for the Lord to be raised into the kingdom of heaven: "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (1Co 15:52).
